[02-12-2026] Kern County – Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Southwest Bakersfield

Bakersfield, California – Authorities say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Wednesday evening near the intersection of Gosford Road and White Lane in southwest Bakersfield, and the driver left the scene. 

According to Bakersfield police, the collision occurred at approximately 6:58 p.m. The victim suffered moderate injuries as a result of the impact. 

The incident temporarily disrupted traffic in the surrounding area. Several lanes were affected and vehicles were briefly rerouted, though officials did not fully shut down any roads. Traffic conditions returned to normal after the scene was cleared. 

Investigators have not released any details about the suspect vehicle or driver.
