[02-04-2026] Los Angeles County – Green Meadows Hit-and-Run Accident Leaves One Man Dead

Los Angeles, California – A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in South Los Angeles, and investigators are now asking the public for help identifying the driver. 

The fatal crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. near Figueroa Street and Imperial Highway, in the Green Meadows area, according to the LAPD. 

Police said the victim — a man believed to be in his 30s — was hit while not crossing at a designated crosswalk. He died at the location before paramedics could transport him. Officials have not yet released his identity, and details about the suspect vehicle remain unclear.
