Possible Rideshare Driver Detained After Alleged Attempted Murder by Vehicle in Beverly Hills

An armed man suspected of an alleged attempting to murder a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was taken into custody late Sunday night following an hours-long standoff with a SWAT team in Beverly Hills, authorities said.

Around 3 a.m., a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a driver in the area of Hawthorne Boulevard and West 104th Street.
