POMONA, CA – One person was critically injured and five others sustained minor injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash in the Pomona area Wednesday that closed five freeway lanes for about an hour.
The crash was reported at about 4:55 a.m. on the westbound S10 Freeway just east of the 57 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The carpool lane and four main lanes were closed as officers responded and Los Angeles County Fire Department crews tended to the injured.

Motorists Injured in the 10 Freeway Pomona Crash
Six patients, including one in critical condition, were taken to hospitals, according to a fire department spokesman. The identities of those injured and the cause of the crash had not been publicly released as of Wednesday morning.
One westbound lane was reopened around 6 a.m. and the rest were cleared by 7 a.m., according to the CHP.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. No additional details had been released as of the time of publication.
