Man Hospitalized After Pomona Big Rig Collision

POMONA, CA – A man was hospitalized after two sedans and a big rig collided early Sunday on the eastbound Pomona Freeway in Pomona, authorities said. The three-vehicle collision was reported near the connector to southbound state Route 71. 

The California Highway Patrol received the crash report at about 5:30 a.m. Sept. 20. A CHP incident summary identified the injured person only as a male and said he was taken to a hospital, but the agency did not disclose his condition. 

The initial account did not say which vehicle the patient occupied. It also did not identify the drivers or disclose whether anyone else was examined at the scene. No death was reported in the information released Sunday.
