Tori Spelling and 4 of her children taken to hospital after car accident in Temecula
On April 2, 2026, Tori Spelling was involved in car accident in Temecula, CA that sent her and four of her children to the hospital. Riverside County deputies said they were dispatched at about 5:44 p.m. to the 28000 block of Rancho California Road, roughly 80 miles from Los Angeles and found two vehicles with collision damage. They medically evaluated all occupants at the scene and made no arrests. The accident is still under investigation.
Spelling’s vehicle was carrying seven children, according to TMZ, whose initial report was later cited by People, Entertainment Weekly, ABC News, and the Los Angeles Times. Those outlets reported that four of the children were Spelling’s and three were their friends. Spelling shares five children with ex-husband Dean McDermott — Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9 — but the reviewed reports did not identify which four were in the SUV.
TMZ reported that another driver allegedly was speeding and ran a red light before striking Spelling’s vehicle. But the sheriff’s office has not publicly confirmed speeding, a red-light violation, or fault by any driver.

Fox News reported that Spelling’s representatives confirmed she was taken to a hospital. CBS Los Angeles reported that her manager said Spelling and four of her children were transported in three separate ambulances. EW and People, citing TMZ, said Spelling and the seven children were treated for cuts, bruises, contusions, and concussions. TMZ later reported, again citing unnamed sources, that everyone had been released by Thursday night and was recovering from cuts, bruises, and soreness.
There are a few additional facts in the public record. TMZ published eyewitness video from the scene, and People said the footage showed Spelling speaking with a law-enforcement officer after the crash. As of Monday, April 6, reviewed reports showed confirmation of the incident from Spelling’s representatives or manager, but no detailed public statement from Spelling herself about the April 2026 collision.
Spelling was involved in another crash in 2011, claiming that paparazzi had chased her while she was taking her children to school.
In serious California crashes — especially those involving children — medical records, ambulance records, scene video, intersection evidence, and prompt legal investigation can determine whether a claim is fully documented or permanently weakened.
