[02-24-2026] Los Angeles County – Daisy Reyes Identified as 29-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck at Lake Balboa Intersection

Lake Balboa, California — Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle Monday morning at a Lake Balboa intersection as 29-year-old Daisy Reyes. 

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. near the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Saticoy Street. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Reyes dead shortly after arriving. 

Officials with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later confirmed the victim’s identity as Daisy Reyes. 

Police stated that the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. No arrests have been announced at this time. 

In the aftermath of the incident, Metro buses were temporarily rerouted around the crash site, and motorists were advised to avoid the area as authorities conducted their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
