[02-06-2026] Los Angeles County – Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Freeway 110 Shuts Down Several Lanes in South Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California – A deadly motorcycle crash early Friday morning forced lane closures on Freeway 110 in South Los Angeles, creating major delays for drivers in the area. 

The incident happened at approximately 6:15 a.m. on the southbound side of Freeway 110 shortly past the interchange with Freeway 10. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where at least one person was pronounced dead. 

Traffic conditions quickly worsened through the University Park corridor, with commute times increasing significantly. By about 7:30 a.m., estimates showed that a four-mile stretch between Freeway 5 and Freeway 10 required more than an hour to pass. 

Authorities have not yet announced what led to the crash. News helicopter video suggested that another vehicle may have also been involved in the collision.
