Woman hospitalized after shooting in Modesto

MODESTO, Calif. — A woman is in the hospital after she was shot in Modesto Monday night.

A Modesto Police Department Watch Commander said officers responded to the 500 block of East Roseburg Avenue around 11 p.m. for a reported shooting and found a woman with a gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to a hospital, but it’s not clear what condition she was in.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released, however police said a person of interest was in custody.
