Truck strikes, kills motorcyclist in Los Angeles hit-and-run

The driver of a pick-up truck hit and killed a motorcyclist before speeding off in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, authorities confirmed.

Authorities were alerted around 7:40 a.m. of a vehicle vs. motorcycle collision in the area of South Avenue 20 and North Broadway.

An investigation revealed that the driver of a Ford F150 hit the motorcycle before speeding off, police said. No further information regarding a potential suspect was released.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where they later died. No identifying information was immediately made available.

The investigation remained active as of Saturday morning.
