Silver Alert issued as CHP searches for missing Turlock man

TURLOCK, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol issued a silver alert Saturday as they searched for a missing Stanislaus County man.

The alert is in place for Stanislaus, Merced and Madera counties. 73-year-old William Blanton was last seen on Highway 99 southbound in Turlock around 6 a.m. Saturday, the CHP reports.

Blanton is described as a 5-foot, 10-inch man weighing 185 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and white flannel shirt and jeans. 

His car is described as a red 2016 Ford Explorer with a California license plate number of 8LQL045. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
