Sacramento Metro Fire crews are mopping up after a grass fire that burned 2-3 acres in Mather, officials said. Crews responded to reports of the fire near Excelsior Road and Kiefer Boulevard in Sacramento County at 8:58 p.m.The fire burned on both sides of Excelsior Road in Mather, Sac Metro Fire said.Officials said the fire was not a threat to structures as of 9:20 p.m.The forward progress stopped around 9:25 p.m.No injuries were reported in the fire.See more coverage of top California stories here | Download our app.
