3 hurt in Rancho Cordova shooting, investigation underway

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says two men and one woman were shot in the area of Folsom Boulevard and Routier Road around 8 p.m.

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Three people were hurt and taken to the hospital in a Rancho Cordova shooting Friday night, according to officials.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says two men and one woman were shot outside Diamond Billiards Rancho Cordova around 8 p.m. after originally reporting it was down the street in the area of Folsom Boulevard and Routier Road. All three victims have non-life-threatening injuries. 

Sgt. Amar Gandhi, spokesperson with the sheriff’s office, says some sort of confrontation happened before escalating to the shooting. 

He says 15 to 20 shots were fired, but more accurate numbers will come along with the investigation. 

At least one person is detained at this time and was found down the street at a gas station on Folsom Boulevard and Routier Road.. An investigation is underway and no further information is available at this time.
